Nutrition Counseling
for Disordered Eating
My practice is a weight-inclusive, non-diet approach and I believe in the power of practicing Intuitive Eating principles which are supported by a strong body of scientific evidence. I don't believe in a specific protocol for treating disordered eating behavior. Treatment for such a complex issue should be individualized and recognized as something so much more than just a behavior. Scientific and biblical truth are crucial in the healing process and I incorporate both into my counseling model. If you want to read more about my personal and professional journey feel free to read more here.
You don’t have to have a “full blown” eating disorder in order to justify needing support in this area. Disordered eating behaviors, preoccupation with food and poor body image can be life-controlling issues that many struggle with in silence. If you’re wondering if your struggle is “bad enough” to justify this level of support, the answer is yes. You deserve support through this healing process from a professional that cares. It’s up to you if you’re ready for this level of support I am available to answer any questions you may have. Please contact me for more information about my service rates and packages.
Services provided are only in-network with BlueCross BlueShield insurance. I am happy to provide you with receipts which may be used to request reimbursement from your insurance company. Limited number of sliding scale appointments are available on a case by case basis.
